Business owners need to create content for their websites.
And you, as blogger, need to write quality articles for your site.
Yet, many people have trouble deciding how to create this content.
It really is an easy process that can be completed in just a few steps.
1. Decide on the Audience
The first decision is to identify the intended audience.
Not all articles are meant for everyone.
Each article should have a clearly identified audience.
For example, this post is intended for business owners, or else for bloggers and writers.
When authors first identify the audience, they can better address concerns.
If you are able to write something useful and interesting, then you will catch your audience attention.

2. Identify the Goal
The second decision is to identify the goal of the article.
Each post should have an easily identified goal.
In this article the goal is to help the business owners and bloggers to write a great article.
3. Identify the Format
The third decision is to identify the format.
Basically, articles are written in three different formats.
The first format is the blog. The blog’s purpose is to communicate with visitors to the website.
A second common format is the press release. Its purpose is to announce new items for sale, new staff and new items.
A third common format is the article. These are intended for article sites and are intended to drive traffic to the main website.
4. Choose the Right Keywords
The fourth decision is to choose the right keywords.
This is the hardest decision.
Choose keywords that real people will look for when using a search engine.
Choose words that are searched for enough to drive traffic to your site, but not so popular that too many other business owners are using them.
The general public is often adding geographical locations to what they type into a search engine.

5. Identify the Topic
The fifth decision is to identify the exact topic of the article.
All articles should establish the business owner or bloggers as a leader in their field.
After all, people want to do business with people they feel know what they are doing.
Articles directed at specific problems often do particularly well.
As mentioned in the point #1, if you are able to write content that will solve some of your audience problems, then you are right on your way to attract many readers!
6. Identify the Author
The sixth decision is to decide who will write the article.
For many small business owners, writing the article themselves makes the most sense, because they are the expert.
So are the bloggers, who own their sites and will generally write their blog posts.
But on the other hand, they may not be great writers.
If that is the case, you may find many freelance writers searching for work.
7. Choose the Words
The seventh decision is to choose the words for the article.
Make sure and include the chosen keywords in your content in a natural occurring way.
Also, pay attention to use all the correct grammar guidelines according to the AP style guide.
Make sure you spell all the words correctly.

8. Post the Article
The eighth decision is where to post the article.
Blogs go on the website.
Press releases can be released to many different sources including local newspapers.
Articles can be used on article directories, like Ezine articles.
Also, social media will help you market your content.
Conclusion
Be sure to follow the above mentioned steps, in order to write a great article.
And you?
What is the path you follow when you create your content?
Please share your experience in the comments below, thanks!

Hey Erik,
Top notch article as usual. I think the biggest part is to have an idea on what you are going to write and who is your target market. There isn’t any point to write blindly without a targeted market.
Looking good and thanks! *p/s I really love the font here 🙂

A great article is the one which adds value to the reader. It could be in the form of press release, blog post, white paper, or sales copy, etc.
Whatever format it comes from, the underlying feature should be that it is able to provide value for the readers.
The tips shared here can help a marketer write an article. What will make such an article great is the amount of “compelling” words and sentences used.
Yes, choosing the right words to convince the audience can make huge difference in creating an article that would be termed “great”.

Nice tips, one should develop their content by identifying the thought process behind it. Right from the audience perspective to the SEO one, one needs to cater a food to everyone’s taste.
Delivering the content, straight from the soul, with some research is my way of delivering quality content.
I make it short, simple and good to read. Less hassles, more values. Anyway, I found this article on kingged.
